Heading out for a Dandiya Night party? Our top dandiya dresses for the season have inspired many with their outfit planning this Navratri, but many of you wrote in to inquire about Dandiya makeup ideas. Of course, the best of outfits would fail to create an impression without the perfect makeup.
For Navratri and every other occasion, I turn to my favorite makeup vlogs (video blogs) on YouTube. I round up here, my favorite Makeup Bloggers and their Dandiya Makeup and dresses.
Winged Eye with Maang Tikka – Dandiya Dress & Makeup
My favorite Indian makeup blogger Shruti Anand creates a gorgeous look with winged eyeliner and also shows you her tips to set the ‘maang-tikka’ perfectly. I think her Orange and Pink Dandiya dress and makeup are very beautiful!
Dandiya Makeup with Neon Anarkali Dress
Another YouTube makeup blog I follow religiously is Kaushal Beauty. I am almost the same skin tone as her so I find her recommendations very easy to follow. Kaushal does a really beautiful Dandiya makeup for Navratri and her neon dress and makeup are both, simply gorgeous.
Smokey Eyed Dandiya Makeup with Traditional Mirror Work Dress
Devina Malhotra of Guilty Bytes does a simple and stunning Bollywood inspired smokey eyes makeup that goes beautifully with her red and black mirror work ghaghra choli.
Dandiya Makeup with Temporary Tattoos
Makeup trainer Manishi Jain takes the Dandiya makeup several notches up with temporary tattoos. Her flawless makeup is completed with a stick-on tattoo on the neck and an airbrush tattoo at the nape.
Deepika Padukone ‘Ram Leela – Nagada’ Makeup
The ‘Nagada’ song is going to last for quite some Navratri seasons and so is Deepika Padukone’s look from the iconic Garba/Dandiya song. Featuring my favorite makeup vlogger Kaushal Beauty again with her excellent tutorial on re-creating Deepika Padukone’s ‘Ramleela’ makeup look.
Mumbai-based make-up artist & hair stylist Elton Fernandez has a very good youtube channel that you should subscribe to, if you would like to improve your makeup skills. He creates a lovely, ‘modern meets boho’ makeup for Navratri.
